What jobs have you been employed at?

During my 50 years in Aerospace, I wore many hats:
Field Engineer
Program Manager
Project Engineer
Cost Estimator
Manufacturing Engineer
Sr. Contract Administrator
At the same time
Flight Instructor
CAP Pilot
RR Diesel engine mechanic
Angel Flight West Commend Pilot
Tourist RR conductor
I was a software engineer in the aerospace industry. I didn't wear a hat back then, though. I still had most of my hair.

Various Hardware/Software Engineering Jobs, including:

- Bone Growth Stimulation Software and Device Modifications (dropped reject rate from 33% to .5%).
- Software that converted a 1080p HD tv picture down to recognizable 1 x 2 inch Preview Display.
- Software in a flame quality device that kept a Power Station from exploding.....so I'm told
- RFID scanner software in scanners used by retailers.

Yeah, I don't know electronics or how to program.....(if I talk to current 'headhunters' nowadays)
But there is the occasional need for a mossback and they are hard to find!

I retired in 2023. Still work at the home care at least 1 day a week school year I am a paraprofessional

My favorite job was my first "real" job, in what was then called the "Data Processing Department" of an insurance company. The job was just so-so, but still brings back my best memories, since that's where I met my wife.

Then I worked for a time in accounting for the now defunct "Morton's Potato Chips" in Dallas.

But my longest lasting job (23 years) was my last one, in the accounting department of a Dallas clothing manufacturer.

I have mainly been in food service or some sort of housekeeping position my entire life. I've been in restaurants, nursing homes, motels and hospitals all these years. As soon as I'm able to find something I will be getting a desk job because of my COPD. My pulmo wants me to get something less physically demanding. Will be my first ever desk job. I think I will enjoy it but it will take getting used to.

My work history is full of various jobs. What sorts of jobs have you had? I never seemed to earn that much and felt no qualms about starting a new job in a new field, whenever I got bored. On average, I'd get bored after about 4 years. Some professions I enjoyed more and stayed longer... about 8 years. The various jobs I've had were:

mimeographing sales receipts for a catalog company (Spiegal)
cook (breakfast & lunch) at a small shop
tax examiner at the IRS
sewing machine operator (horse blankets)
packed shipping orders for a catalog company (Sears)
sewing machine operator (ironing board covers)
dog groomer
filled vending machines
ran a lunch counter in a factory
supervisor in recreation department at a nursing home
certified nursing assistant at a nursing home
certified nursing assistant for a home health care agency

I've also occasionally earned extra money working from home, by doing personalized embroidery and sewing alterations to clothes.
Lawn mower boy

Feed mill employee
Laborer for masonry company
Carpenter helper
Carpenter

After 14 years of that I had a heart attack and 6 way bypass. After I recovered from that I started an excavation company (I was an artist, I was a sculptor of the earth)
Heart disease got worse, had minor stroke so I retired

I;ve had so many jobs in the past, cannot remember all of course, one major factor is being a drunken fool up until 1982....
Almost always a general laborer, a few lead positions, till I got
