Getting hard to trust some doctors

In regards to my previous post about being sent to a building now down the street for lab work. I was emailed a
survey on my visit there and I voiced about the parking issue, the long walk in, the long wait and then added about watching elderly
struggling to arrive with walkers and arm canes out of breath and how this new system was very unfair to those elderly and those with
disabilities. I ranked them low in convenience, wait time couple other things. Hit submit survey and up popped this:
We are sorry your survey can not be submitted at this time. I guess they only accept high ranking surveys

Correct. My opinion is that stating conspiracy tomfoolery as facts amplifies the nonsense.

If you have a source with credible evidence that American doctors or the UN are cooperating to get everyone on statins/diabetic meds and CPAP machines, please cite it and my opinion may change.
I wouldn't dream of trying to change your opinion, StarSong. I'm just having fun on the forums, stating mine.

But, of no importance, just to notice it, twice in post #155 you have put words in my mouth.
1) I have never asserted my "tomfoolery" as fact. I have only stated my opinion.
2) I have never stated in my life that "American doctors or the UN are cooperating to get everyone on statins/diabetic meds and CPAP machines."

I offer my sincere apologies for this. I should have gone back to check the original post rather than using using quoted messages. Mea culpa. I've learned a valuable lesson here and will delete my previous messages on this subject.

Another example that trusting doctors is not always a good idea:

This has been going on for a long time. As I recall about 25 years ago a lady was beaten severely, taken to the hospital and died. Her attacker could not be charged with murder as her injuries were not treated but instead the "doctors" prepped her for transplant. There are other stories since then so it is always wise to have a fearless guardian with you in the hospital.

Fortunately for me, I haven't been in a position where I need constant medical attention. Because of that, I never originally applied for Part D in Medicare. This year at age 75, I had to finally applied for Part D, because of high blood pressure. I can't complain. I've gone years without needing any prescriptions for pills or tablets for health problems.

Sadly, the insurance system incentives the medical community to treat for profit, not to cure in many situations.

I have my four main doctors. My PCP primary care physician, my
Orthopedic doctor, my Urologist, and my Eye doctor. I like all of
them and trust them mostly except for my Urologist.

I have noticed that over the years they want everyone on cpap machines and diabetes medicine even when you don't have diabetes and statins. And if you don't want to be on these things they want to know why and try to talk you into it. Since I can't take statins and refuse them my doc has me listed as non compliant.

I had trouble with the metformin too. Also listed as non compliant. I'm sorry but I'm not just gonna take whatever the hell he tells me to just because. Whoever typed in all the information on my drug allergies left things off so when he looks at penicillin it says vomiting and he wants me to take it. I have severe vomitting with hives and other things.

Then he calls me a liar because he thinks I'm making up stories and he doesn't know what to believe. I've had these allergies my entire life. Why would I make crap up? He's a total ahole but there's nobody else I can go to that our insurance will take.

I don't trust them either.
Wow... You have private insurance and still cannot have your choice of physicians? That's not good.

My doctor keeps sending me to various testing facilities... colonoscopy, blood tests, MRI. They all come up negative and do nothing but cost me thousands of dollars.

I've had enough. No more tests!!! I feel fine for my age, other than the fact that I have to keep wasting money on tests.
Let me translate and you'll feel better afterward.

"I have made a life where I can get and pay for expensive medical care and testing. Those tests show that I'm healthy."

I'm with a very large medical group. When referred to a doctor I don't care for, I choose another who has the same specialty. I'm sorry that some here have doctors they don't like or believe is working in their best interest.
We get one option. A clinic next to the hospital. There's only a certain amount of doctors in here and they have to be willing to accept us before we can change. The other clinic across town is out of network.

Sadly, the insurance system incentives the medical community to treat for profit, not to cure in many situations.
that may be the case in US (I doubt it is that simple though) - it's not so in other countries like Australia
It's indeed not that simple. Thank you for realizing that.

With the exception of rural areas, the US health typically offers speedy testing, surgeries and treatments. Unless the patient's need has not yet reached the tipping point where surgery is required, I've never heard of cataract surgery being delayed 5-6 months or more. Same with gall bladder surgery, biopsies, and so forth. I was scheduled within a few weeks of when the need was identified for the above. Ditto DH, my relatives and friends.

X-rays are performed immediately — as in leave the doctors' office and go to radiology — even for something as non-emergent or life threatening as the heel spur my GP suspected two weeks ago. Results came through to me via their portal within a few hours. As do blood and other test results.

My point is, most Americans are spoiled with what is essentially on-demand health care. Routine delays, cancellations or long waits at doctors' office often reported here by people with UHC would infuriate Americans.

Nevertheless, the average American's lifespan is years shorter than citizens of similar developed nations who have UHC.

Americans' generally dreadful lifestyles powerfully undermine good health. From our earliest years (and heavily abetted by behemoth corporations), we consume diets laden with addictive, ultra-processed crap "convenience" food. Most Americans eat meat and/or dairy at nearly every meal, almost always from animals pumped full of antibiotics and hormones. If that's not bad enough, few get enough exercise to support good health.

This Pogo comic was published by the esteemed Walt Kelly on Earth Day in 1970. 55 years later, it is truer than ever.

My doctors had me on 1680mg of magnesium, my blood pressure was going down and I was getting light headed with frequent dizzy spells and diarrhea. All they suggested was is taking metamucil. Screw that......I took matters into my own hands and cut down the magnesium supplements, eating more fish and I'm doing fine now.
