Notes from Pappy's diary

I did a couple years back and nothing has changed. Still small and no increase in size. ❤️
Couple of years is too long. If it blows you have minutes. I lost love ones over this very issue. I have one as well but had the surgery. No pain, 24 hours in bed then back home. I appreciate and understand your nature, which is such as mine. But what got me was my sister -in -law, who had the same condition and it blew. She's dead. Denial isn't good here.

Thank you for caring. I have VA appointment next Tuesday and I will talk to my doctor about it again.

please have an ultra scan. you need to see how big it is. Above 2.6 is an issue. Just concerned. I was at 3.5 and had the operation. Spent 24 hours in bed in the hospital and went home. No pain, no discomfort. Fine since. My sister-in-law went undetected. It blew and she is dead.

Yesterday’s visit to VA was a good one. My pulmonologist changed a couple of meds and canceled out two that I’ve been taking. One was too strong and making my voice sound like Frankenstein.
My granddaughter came over and stayed with Thelma. I don’t like to leave her alone too long as she falls easily.

Today nothing really planned for later. I may run over to pick up some scratch offs and a couple hamburgers.

Glad you are good. Thanks for the reply.

Woke up and read some sad news this morning. My childhood friend I grew up with has passed this week. Haven't seen him in ages but we did have phone conversations quite often. There is a sad spot in my heart this morning.

Bad snow storm yesterday so had to move cars out of the way so the bobcat could do their thing. Right now, it is a balmy 9 degrees.🥶. A good day to stay in and keep warm.

Christmas Day was wonderful at my daughter’s house and it started with a great breakfast buffet and then the presents were opened. I believe everyone had a good time and was so good to be with family again after 25 years in Florida. But Thelma and I were very tired so when we got home we both slept for 2 hours in our chairs.

I guess that brings our days up to date for now. Just enjoying our family and the time we both have left on this earth.

I am so sorry about the loss of your friend.

We had a considerable amount of snow dumped on us here too. Very cold but I had to place a grocery order this morning and hope for the best.
Thank you Kat. My friend and I had a great time together in our youth. I picked up my groceries just before the big storm hit us.

26 degrees here in Poughkeepsie right now. Guess that’s our high temp today. Slept in a bit for me. Got up at 6:45, usually up at 6 ish. I just changed car insurance companies and went down to have its picture taken as the new company requires it. The guy wondered why my car looked so nice and the low mileage. I told him it’s a Florida car and the driving we do is to DD and doctors. He got a laugh out of that. Car is going on 4 years old. Mileage…11,270.

Granddaughter says she ordered a bag for the Christmas tree, whatever that is. Soon as it comes in it will be outta here. Going out for a coffee run and a couple scratch off tickets later.

Hope 2026 bring you and Thelma all good things, Pappy
