Tiny homes, motor homes, any kind of small homes.

I think for myself, I prefer not to live near the water. Even though we have many lakes, creeks, rivers, etc. here in NY state, I would not want to live too close to any of them. But I admit I am partial to the forest..........and there you have trees falling your houses. I guess no place is perfect.

@katlupe, you're right that every location has it's problems if you think about it. I'm not into being around water, but I love the forests.

Our house is in a wooded area & that was our concern before we built. It was easier to cut anything down that would have been too close for comfort & headed off any problem if we could. We did the same thing when we were ready to build the garage. We keep everything trimmed back & anything that starts to look bad comes down. Not that something couldn't happen during a storm, but it would have to be a very bad storm with really high winds which I hope we don't see.

In the spring we have some young sycamore trees that are healthy, but are getting to tall for my liking & I want to take them down while it will be easier to do. These are still skinny enough that we won't have to be split them so it will be easy firewood to cut for us.
