yes kings do have last names.... Henry VIII was Henry Tudor...... our Current King is Charles Mountbatten Windsor.... the Queen's surname was Elizabeth Windsor.... her fathers name was Windsor.. but they had changed it from the German Saxe-Coburg - Gotha, ...around 1917 due to the anti German feeling within the British isles

The Mountbatten surname is an anglicized version of Battenburg which was Prince Philips surname ..... The royal family surname since 1917 hss been Windsor...

All the Queen's children were known as Windsor until relatively recently.. when they took their fathers' name as a hyphenated surname
