Birds of a feather - a place for bird photography

I did not want to hijack @Medusa ’s delightful Smart feeder thread, and I didn’t find a bird thread🤠

One of my Woodpeckers this morning.

Your pictures are wonderful! Your pictures (and anyone else's) are absolutely welcome on the smart feeder thread too! ❤️ But they're nice here as well and I'll definitely be visiting. 🤗

At our local lake...

Buzzards need love too. We had an Arkansas black buzzard show up with an injured wing one time. We let him stay in the shed and nursed him back to health. Got to where he'd come a running when the wife showed up with food. After he healed, he and his family would roost in our tree and then, they'd follow the wife whenever she walked the property down to the creek.

We had a woodpecter that used to come and peck on the metal yard light pole. I don't know if he was just a dumb Okie bird, :ROFLMAO: or if there were bugs in the hollow tube and he was trying to shake them out.. Never could decide.

We had a woodpecker that pecked on our neighbours metal tv antenna. It was really loud and really annoying and we couldn’t figure out just ‘why’ either.
