Nothing seems stable anymore.

Government is collecting facial identification. I don't like that, especially now.
I don't like it either, but actually the Feds already have facial ID on all passport holders, and the Real ID driver's license is expressly for collecting personal information from citizens.

None of this will make the Nation safer, but could make the individual more vulnerable to exploitation in data breaches.

I think someone should run classes "internet technics and tricks for the elderly"?
I'd just forget. So, I write things down. Then I have scraps of paper everywhere, and I can't find it. So now I have the scraps stuffed in envelopes according to subject.
Who needs all this trouble? Not me.
Nothing on earth has ever been stable anyway.
You want more stability? Look up.
(First we have to go outside.)

and totally reject social media.

I don't reject social media. And yes this is a form of social media. What I really find concerning is the state of mind that some adopt. You encounter people on line who adopt antagonistic and attack mode attitudes. Those same person in face to face communication are civil and even friendly. It seems that being shielded behind a user name or icon for identity allows a totally different personna to take control.

My post was directed at the poster who said they totally reject social media- while posting on a social media site.😏

I agree. Much too rapid an advancement.
Multinational companies have a lot to answer for when it comes to society.
Their business model says, profits must rise every year.
This is why so much technology becomes outdated within a year or too.
Newer model, newer gadgets. Society is to blame as well, it seems they must have the updated version.
The landlord here ordered a skip bin for the incredible amount of "rubbish" people throw out.
A lot of it there is nothing wrong with it, simply "dated" so must be discarded.
I loaded all that stuff into the skip bin. When I went to put some more stuff in the bin, 24 hours later,
there was electronic stuff, a Foxtel set top box, numerous remote controls, plenty of what looked to be unused cables.
A throw away society.
