yes and these guys are big guys.. but as the biggest one of the 2 always says'' sometimes I'd like to just pull these people out of their cars when they jump in and refuse to move'' ...but I can't, Id lose my job

If eggs in San Jose are $6-$7 a dozen, it's time to find a new store. Egg prices dropped considerably before the holidays and currently run about $2.00 a dozen (less at Costco and Aldi). Walmart online price: $3.32/18 large eggs. I bought two big, beautiful heads of Romaine lettuce Friday, 99¢ per head. WM Romaine: $2.14/head.

Your produce prices surprise me. SJ is roughly the same distance from California's Central Valley agricultural area as Los Angeles.

I felt sorry for the car owner despite his ridiculous belief that being 4 months behind in car payments wasn't sufficient grounds for a repo.

Kudos to the tow truck drivers for remaining respectful, kind and empathetic, while being firm that they were indeed going to repossess that car. They kept the situation from turning ugly.

BTW, I looked up the "Tow Goat" AKA Eben Reed. He spent 7 years in prison for aggravated robbery and car theft. After being released he decided it was time for a new path. He started his towing business in 2020.

Much respect to the man for turning his life around.

What is that place? Is that a park? Why is there a parking lot on a road in the middle of nowhere?

EDIT: It might be the Hach-Otis State Nature Preserve or North Chagrin Reservation.

So how does anyone know that this guy whose car is getting repossessed would be there? And somebody would have called the tow truck company while he was there to come get his car. And then he comes running out of nowhere to try to stop them.

Something smells a little fishy. :unsure:

These Repo men have a very succesful Youtube channel which is why they have Cameras all over the place....

It was loud enough, and of course I could turn up the volume. The guy screaming "I have to get to work!" came through loud and clear, over and over again. But a lot of the comments the repo guys were making came through blurry and indistinct. My hearing is OK, so it's probably the sound on my computer that's at fault.

Since this was real, it seems to me that this man should not be driving at all. But maybe there are particular laws that have to be violated before someone's license can be taken away. Just being nuts probably isn't enough. I went back to the beginning, which I didn't watch the first time, and it shows a big Cleveland sign, and the trees looked like Ohio types, so that's probably the state. I have to wonder how this character even manages to drive a car. (Or maybe he was high on something, and most of the time is not in that condition?)

When I went back to the video for the second time, I watched it from the beginning. I found the conversation between the two repo guys very interesting, especially the part where one talks about coming from a drug dealer family and being recruited by his family to help with the drug sales at age 6, and the other guy was the opposite extreme, said he had never even taken a drink in his life!

It is Cleveland you're correct I've seen that on other videos they make

Not for the first time either on the Repo videos or youtube videos generally..especially police videos... time and time again, it's obvious many...many people should not be given a driving licence... it's very scary...

I usually don't watch pisted videos but when someone posted it was from Cleveland I had to watch since I live close, wanted to see if it was someone I knew.lol.

There's a TV series about repo guys, I've seen some bits of it and it's so obviously staged and stupid it's unwatchable. There's also Youtube videos I've seen of people trying to retake there car by jumping in and attempting to drive off, even though the car is already hooked up or loaded on a flat bed truck. Those are insane, people totally trash their cars trying to get them back.

Almost all newer vehicles have GPS tracking that can be accessed by lenders and repo companies for location purposes in cases of default. No need for a human to rat the guy out.

Maybe so. In that case the tow guys may have gotten the address of the car when he parked it there.

Thanks for the tip, StarSong. Sometimes I go to local farms and farmers’ markets, where I can get cheaper produce, and I can also pick up some flowers I like.
 
It wasn't lost on me that this guy who acts like a four year old and doesn't pay his bills feels way superior to me. "She's a bank teller! Do you think I would have a personal relationship with a bank teller?!" I was one of those things for many years. I also paid cash for my car and I'm still driving it 27 years later.

I took it as him clarifying that his relationship with her was professional. He saw her occasionally at the bank and shot the breeze with her for a minute or three when she waited on him.

He was frantic and in panic mode. I didn't get the sense that he was feeling superior to her.

Unlike Starsongs' interpretation, I believe he really was thinking that Bank tellers' were beneath him... but he was clearly very effeminate so not interested in woman probably... and also totally unhinged so don't take anythig he might say to heart... he'd be lucky to get anyone given that he doesn't py his bills...

This a bloke who was more interested in saving his ''Little Mix'' poster from the boot of his car... clearly missing a few brain cells IMO

Perhaps you're right. I'm trying to give him the benefit of the doubt.
 
Where were these people raised? Maybe I'm too harsh, but as I see it people make ridiculous choices. I watched that clip. If as he said repeatedly he was behind on his car payments, it appeared that his phone was working. His shoes looked new. His clothes didn't look dirty, and he didn't look malnourished. Apparently he had a job, but obviously lacked common sense.

I absolutely agree with you... perhaps everything he was wearing had been bought on time..maybe a credit card he hadn't paid for either...

In the uk, some of the entitled young, max out credit cards ,and just apply for more cards before it's discovered their not going to pay their previous debt... and know that there's no stigma attached these days to being bankrup or in debt... ...all simply because they feel enttled to have anything they want.

When we were young we knew we weren't likely to have new cars, for example until were much older and had saved or worked in a good paying job to afford them.. or new furniture.. or expensive clothing or foreign hlidays...espeically the latter...... today they want all that NOW !.. and they get it a lot ofthe time by just not paying their bills, and like this guy screaming blue murder if they're held accountable
