Hi Gaer! Sorry to take so long to reply - been distracted elsewhere. How are you?
There is no good news on the pandemic front. Our little spate of sunshine is going to disappear for a couple of weeks. On the bright side, we're still well, popokis are fine, friends and neighbors okay. Plus, I even got in a little yard work yesterday. Little victories are big ones right now.
My company told everyone to work from home yesterday, and then sent us home. Going to be interesting. I won't have a problem with it - I worked from home for four years for a previous employer - but many will have some adjustments to make. It's a whole different world.
This goes far in explaining the 6,242 rolls of toilet paper I had to find room to stash... ;) ...but she hasn't complained about me taking over the fridge in the basement for my beer supply, so I can't say a word :ROFLMAO:
Another dreary day, but at least it isn't raining. I was out early to pick up parts to repair a lamp and replace a light fixture in the stove hood: and I damn near had the roads to myself. Wife had me check at Home Depot and Lowe's for disinfectant wipes: I told her to expect to be disappointed; I was right. We have plenty on hand, but I understand the urge to pick up more if the opportunity occurs.
This weekend, March is making us pay for last weekend. Gone is blue sky and sunshine and spring warmth! Drab, dreary, damp, and cold is the order of the day - for the next friggin' week . Ugh. Winter's hanging on like that piece of something that gets stuck in the carpet, and you keep running the vacuum over it again and again and again and...you get the picture.

You are right, Catguy. I do get the picture, from your descriptions and metaphors! :sneaky:(y)
So very true and funny, as you said, it's just like trying to vacuum! :ROFLMAO:
    Rain. Clouds. Cold. Work. Monday.

A fabulous pre-spring weekend is in the offing: sunshine, blue skies, going to get close to 70° Sunday! And then (of course) it's going to rain all week and get gray and damp and chilly all over again. March, you are such a tease.

Yep, that's what March is all about. Thursday was sunny and pleasant. Friday, it snowed. Today (Sat) .. sun is shining!

Ah, Thursday. Foot servant to Friday. Going to be a beautiful day today! Lots of sunshine, 60°, spring is in the air! I've been able to take my walks outside the last few days, a welcome change! The treadmill is a lifesaver when the weather isn't conducive, but there's nothing like fresh air and sunshine!

Oh, that's so nice! We had a whopping 40 degrees here so far today..may go to 48 or so.
Beautiful morning here - sun's shining, going to warm up to near 60° today! C'mon, springtime! I'm already seeing the tulips and the irises poking their first shoots from the soil. A few more weeks and it will be time to get the garden ready!
Ugh. At work for 45 minutes and already the sky is falling. C'mon, retirement!

Thanks, Ruthanne! Managed to muddle through all right. It's this long and dreary winter that's got me down - I don't mind cold, but I need some sunshine!

Spring will be here before you know it...I'm looking forward to it, too. The gray skies have got to go..
As of last Friday, 2/21, I am exactly 6 calendar months and 117 working days away from RETIREMENT! GLORY HALLELUJAH!! Not that I'm counting, or anything...
Good morning (or whatever time it is where you are)! Going to be a little warmer today here in the American Midwest, but not warm enough yet. I'm bone-tired of winter now - time to move on, Mother Nature!
