I believe it is a little rude to step into someone else’s meeting place without first introducing myself. So please excuse this courtesy lapse. This was entirely an impulsive action upon passing by and seeing Gaer’s thread. It resonated with me.
You may have gathered my name is Jamala (which means friendly and well mannered). I try to live up to that! My hereditary roots spread far and wide - Celtic, Germanic and British.
I don’t know how long I shall remain a guest as I lead a very busy lifestyle and have a multitude of interests.
Thank you all for even acknowledging my comments and hope to encounter you from time to time.

Thank you Pinky. Jamala is not my real name. Just before the pandemic, my husband and I enjoyed an amazing vacation at a place called Jamala Madikwe in South Africa. I love the place and the name so I borrowed it!

I enjoyed my short stopover with you folks, but I have a plane to catch in a few days, we’re attending the destination wedding of my niece in Bermuda. Lots of packing to do and a pink dress to be bought since, I am told it is a Pink Beach wedding. Have to find out more what all that means. Never visited that island before, so quite excited.
