This is the kind of gun training and safety that should be encouraged for any young girl or boy who has the interest. This 13 year old girl has been guided by her father since a young age, in safety and technique, and will not only enjoy gun sports, but also be able to effectively protect herself in the future as an adult.

there are many young competitors of this caliber in the shooting sports today, Olympic skeet, ATA trap, thanks for the post

However the next post will be someone saying " But those aren't uzi's" If I wasn't so lazy I would pull up some utube stuff of kids shooting 50's, and tripod mounted 30's, but somehow I don't think it would matter

The uzi drama can stay in the other threads. This is about responsible gun ownership and use, the type of gun doesn't matter if the child is experienced and well trained in handling it. You're right, there are many young competitors who really enjoy the sport, are safe and good at it.

That's the level most kids start out at here. That or a .22 long gun.
Baby steps first seems the intelligent way to go.
After all, you don't have your first flying lesson on a jumbo jet.
