1944 movie "It Happened Tomorrow"

Good picture. Coincidentally 1944 was also the year that Powell wanted to shed his good guy song & dance image. So he took the role of Phillip Marlowe in Murder My Sweet, based on Raymond Chandler's novel, Farewell My Lovely, directed by Edward Dmytryk. Powell was great as Marlowe, and that redefined Powell as a serious dramatic actor.
