Remember ABC Movie of the Week? I recall seeing the film "Duel" back in 1970 with Dennis Weaver. It had me on the end of my seat. I just learned that it was Spielberg's first feature film.

It sounds like it was a good Movie. I wish I had seen it but I was really interested in watching upbeat shows like All in the Family ,Happy Days, Three's company and I really liked MASH. Of course at times MASH would make me cry.

We were stationed in Germany through most of the 70s, so missed most of the US TV shows that decade. The only English speaking channel we had was AFN (Armed Forces Network) and MASH came on on Wednesday nights. Absolutely nothing else happened in the US military community on Wednesday nights because everyone watched MASH, either in their quarters if they had a TV, or in one of the clubs, rec centers or barracks or wherever. And of course Thursdays there was lively discussion about that week's episode.

I loved MASH, and I still enjoy the reruns!

I remember that when Saturday Night Live started, we had to plan to either be home in time to watch it or stay where we were to watch it (no DVD recorders available to the like of us.....)

But you DID NOT want to miss it or you would have absolutely nothing to talk about at work on Monday. Everyone else would be saying, "BUT NOOOOOOOO...." or "CHEEBURGER, CHEEBURGER, NO FRIES, CHEEPS, PEPSI, NO COKE!" and you would have no idea what they were talking about. Talk about being a leper.....

I was looking on you tube and I saw a trailer for the movie. They also have the full movie on it. I know what the next thing I'll be watching will be.

The Duel is a good movie. I've seen it several times. We've been in the area where it was filmed in So Calif. I always liked Dennis Weaver. One of my friends always said my husband reminded her of him, but I don't see it.
