The sequel wasn't bad either, not as good as the first, but unusually good for a sequel. It's not easy substituting for John Belushi. The ending of the sequel featured a fabulous collection of blues musicians, one of the most fun blues jams, I've ever seen. And that little kid that plays the blues Harp! Where did they ever find him, and what's he doing now?

But yes, I'm part of the original's cult following.

The 1980 version was pure Heaven on Earth. As a hard core SNL junky Belushi and Aykroyd made the movie. The entire well known and talented supporting cast were icing on the cake.

I first loved it because I was fresh out of college and still a big SNL fan. Now that I'm playing in a blues jam group, I watched it again recently with a whole new kind of appreciation.
