2025 - How's the Weather Where You Are?

@hawkdon Yikes! Glad you are going to survive!

What 'critters' are you feeding? I had to fill up bird feeders - again.

Do you have ice cleats? I had some in Colorado..was only 35 years old and falling once on the ice after a non-stop six foot skid made me a believer in ice cleats. I know Iooked dorky... 😁 but in a uniform skirt and hat I looks A LOT dorkier sliding down the sidewalk....tore the crap out of my pantyhose! And military bearing.;)

27 degrees F here. Which means the leaky radiator in my bedroom will be heating the water in it more which will cause water to spurt from end of radiator and into the pot I use to catch it..........which means I better not forget to empty the pot before it fills up to the point where it spills out onto the floor beneath. There is already a blackened hole where water leaked in to in the past that previous tenants did not prevent. And no, I have not insisted the radiator be replaced by my new landlord. Reasons complicated.

It is 29f and that means ice is forming, found out the damned
hard way when I just fell coming front door from putting critter
feed out front....knocked stuff on the desk around, lost my shat and a few bleeding spots....but I will survive.....
I retired from Albany and only reason was just that ice / snow .

I am looking at milder Winter states .

We were supposed to have an 80% chance of rain yesterday. We finally got a little bit around 4:00 in the afternoon. Predicted rain for the next 3 days and it's sunny as can be right now. Sky is clear and no signs of rain anywhere.. 🤷‍♀️

@debodun,Nope, because I've seen BIGGER weather changes in just 25 miles... I remember being in a union meeting, and when I got back to the office where I worked, they asked how I was getting home tonight, I said, drive like I always do...They told me to go and watch the weather... It was raining where I was, and 25 miles away, they were being buried in snow...at home they got 3' of snow...

'' they were being buried in snow...at home they got 3' of snow.''

I do not miss that one iota and yes close to 100 degrees for months is no fun but you have A/C and you go out , garden early but serious snow / ice after 65 just got to rough .
