Started out foggy, but the sun is shining now. After 2 days of on-and-off rain showers, there was 0.4 inches in the gauge. Can't say that measurement is accurate. I noticed the gauge has a crack in it. It's plastic and probably 20 years old. When I get up the enthusiasm to drive to Lowe's (26 mile round trip), I'll have to get a new one.

Years back, it seemed that whenever I set up our above ground pool, temps would plummet and we would be lucky to see even 75F until July. But this week I really did it - had central AC installed two days ago. Yesterday we barely made 70F and right now it is 51F! (Edited - my thermometer was off)

Well it's been very hot today 83 deg f and very humid... and despite them saying earlier that we in the S/east won't get the storms the West of the country are getting.. it's now saying that lightening storms will begin in around 24 minutes... and last thorughout the night
