exactly and I'm proof of that... I have neither AC in the house or in the car !Today was hot. Not 100 but 90. I drove a housemate to an appointment that was supposed to take just a few minutes. Well it took over an hour. At about 50 minutes I took my cane an hobbled into the building. The air in the car doesn't work well especially when it is idling. I felt I might pass out and I am in poor shape anyway. How do people do it? Not everyone has ac.
A dewpoint of 72 sounds unbearable, @Imogene; I hope it drops soon. You have my sympathy!Weather is better because it is pouring rain ATM.
Humidity is 74% and dewpoint is still 72°. Temperature is 82°.
It’s the dewpoint that needs to drop way down for life to be sane again. But that’s OK because there is cloud cover and cloud cover is a good thing in the middle of summer.
Yeesh, I hope you and family are safe!Mid- to high 80s here. And several tornadoes touched down last night—one only about 1 mile from my building.I was woken up in the middle of the night by the sirens and by texts from my younger daughter saying "It looks creepy outside," which is the first sign that something is seriously wrong vis-a-vis a tornado.
Tornadoes terrify me because of their destructive potential and unpredictable nature. I grew up in New York State, which does not get them (or at least, never when I was growing up). Then I moved to Missouri, where they are more frequent. One struck the city my first week there.
Thanks, @Medusa; we are! It was particularly stressful because it was nighttime, so I couldn't really see anything. And I've heard that when you can actually hear a tornado, it's too late.Yeesh, I hope you and family are safe!
