2025 - How's the Weather Where You Are?

Gusty winds leading to cold wind chills and additional light snow showers are forecast today. Minimum wind chills will be in the single digits and teens this morning, however, temperatures later today will climb into the 20s and 30s. Snow is expected to fall through this evening with 1 inch or more per hour possible at times

It is 23° sunshine, with very little wind that is coming out of the Gulf.

10 hours further north in northeast Ohio, my brother lives on the cusp of lake affect snow. Sometimes he gets it sometimes he doesn’t. Last night he got 8 inches with more to come. Reminds me why I moved further south for retirement lol

My horses are in lockdown this morning, waiting on the critter Chiropractor. Now that their breakfast has settled they’re pouting because they realize the gates are locked and they can’t get out of the paddock. I told them to get over it. It isn’t like I lock them up every day.🙄🙄

The chiropractor will be here around 8:30 AM. I hope the temperatures climb above freezing by then. My arthritis will be crying for help by the time I am done holding just one horse. Hopefully the Arabian’s owner will be able to be here and she can hold both of them. She’s a lot younger than me lol lol. Remember when our parents used to tell us get up and get it yourself, your legs are younger than mine? I now fully understand what that meant😂😂😂😂

Large cloudy circulation is moving up towards California from the southwest that by Wednesday will be met by a cold front moving down from the north-northwest. Thus a forecast for heavy rains as well as Sierra Nevada snow that could start the base for our Tahoe ski season.

But today is just clouds with light offshore breezes providing an uncommon chance for me to drive 50 miles to lush coastal redwood canyons for big leaf maple photography, the leaves of which turn bright yellow.

Presently 35 degrees here with a high of 46 expected. The sun is out and it's a beautiful fall day with a light coating of snow on the trees and on the ground.
