I’m sitting outside in the sun! We haven’t seen it for days. The temperature is only 50, but there is hardly any wind and the sun is so warm!

Wet and chilly. Wet enough that I have some standing water out back. Not bad, but more than I like.

However this should all help the shady-mix grass seed I had put out after digging out a lot of moss a little while back. Not spouting yet, but it hasn't been long enough yet either. I'm expecting good results.

After a day of medium gloom and more sprinkles things finally broke just to the west and there was a pretty sunset for the last half an hour. Lots of tall trees here, so for the most part things were dark aside from the golden tops of apex trees.

Damp and chilly breezes yet, but it could be that we get to drier and only partly cloudy tomorrow.

Cooler that it's been the past several days. Roads looked wet this morning. We're under a high wind advisory:

Texas. It was 92 today! Air conditioners running all day and we are yet to feel the real summer. We will probably have some triple-digit scorchers. I can't stand the heat. It saps of all strength. Additionally, I hate all the insects that come with the heat. Wasps, Mosquitos, Tarantulas, tree roaches and scorpions. 2 days ago, I killed a small scorpion in my den. It was probably a baby which gives me more concern. I have killed 4 big roaches in the past week.

I am moderately allergic to stings. Not epi-pen level but I do get sick, so my concern is viable.

On the other hand, I love the winter. No bugs. Instead of trying constantly to be cool, it is easy to be toasty. Our Springs are very nice, I admit. However the Fall is just an extension of Summer.

I wouldn't live here if I didn't have to (financially speaking.)

I spent a month in Canada many years ago and it was lovely and invigorating. Wish I was there.

Drizzly and unseasonably cool. 45F right now and not improving throughout the day. Our town's Memorial Day parade is this evening and I'm going to be riding on a float. Supposed to be 83% chance of rain at 6 pm and still pretty cool. I'd better figure on bundling up.

Looked like it rained overnight - the road and driveway look wet. The sun comes out intermittently, then it rains again, in cycles. Still on the cool side for this time of year here.,
