2025 - How's the Weather Where You Are?

Today Friday 5/30/25 begins a short 2 day heat wave in Northern California with offshore winds from the northeast. Currently at 7am 67F with a forecast high of 94F. Got up at 5:30am with temp 58F to open windows doors as air conditioning was turned off long ago. So before closing all, brought downstairs down to 65F while upstairs in my bright southwest bedroom is 67F. By late afternoon expect my upstairs will be too warm maybe 79F so will move my residence world downstairs where it might reach 74F.

Tomorrow afternoon Saturday will drive 30 miles north to the San Mateo County Fair ($18 entry) where several touring bands are scheduled to play outdoors with temps 74F>64F, perfect for dancing.

Regional storm chasers are starting to address the need for routine weather reports here now too.

National coverage has become useless, presuming nothing but coastal areas even exist. Local TV is now captive, owned by large corporations which led to them becoming only marginally useful too. Surely they get fewer viewers every day?

It'll be interesting to see what happens as their economic model collapses beneath them. Once they cut their losses and shut down will there be anything local already developed to replace them for the teeming hordes?

It was another rainy day. I picked up a neighbor from an appointment at around 1:15. It was raining so hard that visibility was difficult. I got home safe and we got some sun in the early evening. Our first sunny day in a while is predicted for tomorrow.

11C/51F .. cloudy.
A couple of days ago, the weather site was inaccurate - didn't post rain! That was the day we chose to take our daughter & her dog for a country drive/walk. It was the first time that has happened on that weather station. Fortunately, the rain was intermittent, so, poochie got her walk.

Nominally clear and sunny... but with the wildfire smoke it looks more like Nuclear Winter out there right now. Very odd overcast, can't see where the sun is at, at all. Around 45F.

Maybe the air currents will shift later on.
