2025 - How's the Weather Where You Are?

It was a real temperature of 78° at 5:30 this morning. That is not normal for southern middle Tennessee. They said we could hit 98° or 99° for a real temperature today and Tuesday.

Some meteorologist have been bold enough to say they think we’re going to hit 100 but they just can’t make themselves put those numbers on the forecast. I don’t blame them

We are supposed to start cooling down by Wednesday. By cooling down the meteorologist mean down to 90°.

I know this is the weather thread, but I’m sorry this is hard on my elder horse and this is hard on all livestock. People that have never farmed don’t think about that, and many don’t even care. I refill the water tubs in the morning, and give my horses fresh water every night in this kind of weather. Last night the outside water tubs were almost too hot for me to stick my arm in them to see how warm they really work🥵🥵

We need rain. The deer have been coming up to one of the outdoor tubs for salt and water because their water sources are slim to none or full of yuck lately. I saw the twins, their mom, and two others. They were standing in the main pasture watching me, waiting for me to go to the house lol lol

I currently don't have any livestock but I sure remember those days and in winter having to keep fresh water during freezing temps available also. My dogs are house dogs but I can see their appetites have fallen, the oldest one is wanting outside to vomit and drinking twice as much water as normal. Being a Jack Russell his energy level has slumped as well. It sounds like where you are and where I am are on the same weather path.
I too will so happy if Wednesday brings the breaker with it. Hang tight, hopefully it's nearly done. ✊

We're going to start on a incline towards Friday where it should top out around 91°, 92°. It'll basically stair step 76° today 78° tomorrow 82° the next day all the way to 91° on Friday. And then down we go
Well, that's changed.

Friday 102°
Saturday 100°
Sunday 98°
Monday 96°
Tuesday 92°

Well I'm going to make sure I have plenty of water to drink. And I'll probably cook early in the morning and then just have sandwiches for lunch and dinner.

I will say that I've been through worse, I've done 107° out here. Wish me luck😅😅

Getting prepared to roast. Tenps expected to now be 103° Fri/Sat then 98°, 96° and 95° Wed will be 90° then it drops back down.

I'll probably do my rice, chicken, potato and veggies mix, then eat that during the hot part of the day. I also may go crazy and have coffee late, so as to acclimate to the heat.

If I post again, you'll know that I survived....😁😁😁
