This is the first morning below 70 in months! But the high is forecasted to be 90 this afternoon. Summer lasts all the way through September down here in the humid southeast U.S.

All joking aside, people here do indeed pull out the shorts when the temps hit 40 in the spring. It's funny how your adjustment to the temperatures changes when you live somewhere. We used to live in Virginia, but after living in Nevada for several years, when we went back to visit my sister in North Carolina, we were sitting on her screened-in porch, and I just couldn't bear the humidity. I'd gotten so used to the dry heat of the desert. I had to go inside with the AC.
