It's 8:50 PM here in the Pacific NorthWET and my power, which cut off around noon because of a powerful Pacific rain and wind storm, has just been restored. Almost every year, we get this storm in late October and today was the day.
Earlier today without power for 6 hours.
Rains, winds and two transformers blew.
Today was a day of storms. More coming tomorrow then hopefully back to normal.
It's presently 58 degrees and it's suppose to be a high of 64. Good thing I like cool weather! There's also an overcast but I think the sun is trying to peep through.
Finally got 2 inches of rain last night. I doubt we had a total of 2 inches of rain in the previous two months. My new sod appreciated it, and so will my pocketbook as the cost of watering with the irrigation system is dry expensive.
There has been a big shift in the weather here in north Georgia (metro Atlanta.) We got our first significant rainfall in over a month overnight. The temperature has dropped considerably and it appears that it wont be going back up. Those afternoons of high 70 are a thing of the past.
