We're having a "Florida Cold Snap", y'know, when the wind-chill factor gets below 70 and we start wearing socks with our flip-flops.

I just read that you can tell how long a couple has been married by their temperature settings during the first cold snap of the year:

Newlyweds: "Oh, it's chilly. Let's conserve on electricity and snuggle on the couch under a blanket!"

20 years married: "I swear, Bob, you touch that &*%#@*& thermostat again and I'm going to &*$#@*& kill you! I mean it, Bob!"

Weather is finally great to work outside, after the brutal heat humidity of the summer, but it’s going to tank by Sunday night In a big way. Just mucking unbelievable.

29° is called a hard freeze. That means unhook and drain the water hoses at the barn, turn on the space heater in the house to keep the floorboards warm so the waterlines under the house don’t freeze up,, turn the heat up to 62.
