Walked down to the apartment mailbox. About 200+ yards away. Nose froze.

Just bought something called balaclava from Walmart. Was maybe only 30F with wind chill.

Reached 60ºF (15C) this afternoon. Then, the cold front moved in, in the evening. Wind gusts 16 MPH. Temperature now 29ºF (-1C) with snow forecasted for tonight through tomorrow. Temps for the next 7 days forecasted to be in the low 30's.

It's supposed to be a little cooler tomorrow --- 81 F is still way to warm for Thanksgiving in my opinion - but alas, I don't control the weather

At least it will be a little cloudy - so we can pretend it's winter.

Winter storm watches have been issued for some areas across the state, as heavy snow accumulation is expected downwind of Lake Erie. Winds of 30 to 40 mph are expected, with peak wind gusts forecasted to reach upwards of 55 mph in some areas, creating blowing snow and hazardous conditions.

The snow and wind have the potential to bring down trees and limbs, causing damage to overhead power lines and other equipment. Those traveling for the holiday should leave themselves extra time to reach their destinations and monitor their local forecast to plan travel accordingly.

I'm up in the Florida Panhandle for the holidays and it's in the 40s this morning. I won't be bathing in the outdoor shower this morning, obviously. I'd look like that turkey if I did.

At noon yesterday, my hometown already had 20" of sNOw. I don't know how much more they got, but the blizzard conditions are supposed to last until 6pm today.

On the cool side of seasonable. Cloudy most of the day, but the sun peeked out for a few minutes this morning, but clouded over again. Forecast says first "significant" snow this coming Tuesday.

Right here right now---snowing heavily with wind...just what the weather people promised yesterday. There is supposed to be a lot of snow in the next few days, so we'll see. I am snugly tucked away here with enough food for weeks, books, knitting and tv (if electricity stays on) and I have sterno to heat water. There are also grills on the back patio that the guys have used to cook in past winters. Not worried about it, just want the electric to stay on.

Sounds like you're in the Great Lakes area. That storm is probably what we're gong to get on Tuesday.

At 2pm today, NWS says my hometown got 31.30" of sNOw. I dunno if it's over yet, and there's another blizzard on the way for next weekend.
