Since late Thursday evening at the start of the storm, more than 73,000 customers have been impacted, with service restored to more than 18,560 customers. Across the state, field reports indicate that sustained and gusty winds have caused downed trees, downed power lines, and broken utility poles, with wind gusts, at times, exceeding 60 miles per hour.

High winds are expected to continue after midnight tonight and into the early hours of Saturday morning, which may result in additional outages.

Yesterday it got very windy in the afternoon. I heard things banging around outside. It also started raining very hard around the same time. It had been raining since the night before, but not as hard. Today is the real feel high is only going to be 36F. It is forecast to be breezy this morning and sunny for part of the day, then cloudy.

We're driving our daughter, a couple of hours out of town today.
When we get there, we'll be stopping at a German restaurant, for schnitzel.
Weather report is clear, so, should be good driving conditions.

After a day of seasonably mild temps, moderate rainfall and high winds, the day dawned virtually cloudless, less windy and much colder.

We're under a flood warning. Rain predicted for the next 7 days straight, then a 4 day reprieve followed by another week of rain.

We're only about 12 miles from the Sacramento River, but we're in a fairly high spot, elevation-wise.

Fairly mild for late December in the northeastern U.S. 39F at the moment. It started off drizzly, but the sun came out for about an hour around 10am, Now it's clouded over again. Not shaping up to be a white Christmas here. My mom used to say, "A green Christmas means a full graveyard."
