We had a horrible, hot, windy and humid day yesterday, 10th January. The heat reached 43 degrees Celsius (105F). I had to pick up my son from the swimming centre and on the way back my car slowly came to a standstill and stopped near an intersection.
Son got out of the car and started to push it around the corner, another car stopped and he too helped to push it. We were then standing in a Bus Lane which is illegal when another car stopped to help. I was trying to ring the NRMA to come and help but couldn't get through. A police car came around the corner but didn't stop to help.
The second man said there might be trouble with the oil as the light was on. We waited for about 10 minutes, and I turned on the key in the ignition, and it started, much to everyone's surprise. I thanked everyone who helped. There are some good people around. Got home as fast as I could but will take it to a mechanic to test it in the morning. Wouldn't want to get into that situation again.
