2026 - How's the Weather Where You Are

We're under a winter weather advisory from noon today until 5 am tomorrow. Significant snow expected making travel more difficult. Hopefully it will melt soon if the predicted warm-up arrives later this week. It's snowing lightly at the moment, but the snow is more like graupel.

80 degrees....beautiful weather - cat has been sacked out all day - probably spent the night awake all night...lol!The hawks are crying out looking for mates....they usually choose dead limbs to mate on!
 
We got about 3 to 4 inches of crusty snow. A neighbor came over early this morning with his snow blower and cleared my driveway. That kind of snow is very difficult to shovel - it like wet snow underneath and a crust of ice on top. Really bad where the street plow makes a ridge of it. He also brought in my trash cans. What a guy! I had gone out before dawn to throw a bottle in the recyclable bin and found the lids to the trash bins frozen shut. Good thing I did so I could knock them loose again - icicles were hanging down from the lids. Must have been freezing rain after it snowed.

Now it's in the mid-30sF, slightly overcast, but no precip.
 
It's fine at the moment, slightly cloudy and 70 degrees; calm, but today's forecast calls for "Severe storms, large hail, and possible 60 mph winds" starting in the late afternoon. The same forecast is repeated for Friday and Saturday. Unfortunately, this is only the beginning of the time of year we start getting many such forecasts in Texas. That's partly why we pay such high rates for homeowner's insurance here.
 
This was the weather today...I took this picture among many others of the lakes and canal at the Nature reserve but I delberately took this picture of this young couple, wearing barely anything to show you all how warm it was today... I think the forecasters said it was the warmest March in 30 years .... it wasbout 68 deg

We had a rain Storm last night, lots of flooding around but not at my house, sunny today, more rain forecast for later in the week.
