Wow , you have certainly had a very interesting life.

1) I was confined to a wheelchair for about 9 months after I fell 60ft off an 80ft ridge, and years later, for almost as long after a back surgery that went badly.

2) I'm one of 5 siblings, and the only one who's never been addicted to drugs and/or alcohol. Two of the other 4 have been clean and sober for at least 2 decades; one was killed within 3 weeks of his sobriety.

3) I wanted to be a furniture designer and maker but earned a certificate or degree in just about everything BUT furniture design and making.

4) I grew up a typical farm-boy until I was 15. (most of you already know that)

5) I rode a horse once, but rode a cow named Bessy countless times. It was obvious the horse didn't like me.

6) I've written 2 novels and started a 3rd, but I doubt I'll ever try to get them published. And I prob'ly won't finish the 3rd.

I'm gonna keep it to 6 random things.

@Naturally

"6. My first apartment, in downtown Columbus Georgia where I worked as a draftsman, cost $75 a month."
Mine was $75, too, but it was a little house in the landlord's backyard.

"8. I collect traditional pocket knives and have somewhere close to about 200 maybe."
No exotic, nontraditional ones?

"11. Have visited some two dozen foreign countries, some more than once."
About half that many for me, and I stayed in Venezuela for several months. (before crap hit the fan, politically speaking)

"13. Most expensive country I've visited was Norway. $10 for a plain beer at any random bar."
Dude. That's a lot. A pint in England was under 2 bucks, if I remember right.

"19. In Mississippi I won an 8 ball pool tournament and the prize was a pool stick."
I don't know why, but that cracked me up. It's like winning a chicken for eating the most hard-boiled eggs, only not as good.

Only three non-traditional ones I can think of off the top of my head and two are the same, just different steel.
A left handed (I'm left handed) Chris Reeve Sebenza 31 in CPM S45VN steel and natural canvas micarta ... and two Ontario Rat II. One in AUS8 and the other D2.

My dad used to make custom knives and I did scrim work on the handles made of bone, antler or horn, and micarta. These were mostly hunting knives and show knives for collectors.

I have a 2" pocket knife with a brass casing that's carved to look like a tiger. I think it was a common tourist souvenir from somewhere.

The hunting knives I have are Western, Ruana and Randall Made.
A Brusletto I picked up in Europe and one from Great Eastern Cutlery.
The Sheffield made fixed blade antiques I have from the 1800's are a dagger and two bowies.

Your dad sounds very interesting to me !!! ... and I have nothing with scrim work.

@palides2021 ...tell us more about the 'Miracles''.. please..
1) When I was just under five, I was running across the street, and a car ran into me (from the right). When I woke up on the curb, there were people around me. Someone gave me my shoe. I was shy and remember putting it on and walking away. I didn't know English at the time, still fresh from Greece.

2) Lost my cross (that my godmother gave me) at school when I was 8. One day in September, a little black girl walked up to me as I was walking to school, and handed me the cross, asking if it were mine. I took it. Didn't know her and never saw her again. When I went home that day, my mom cried out that it was a blessing. In our Greek religion, that day I received my cross back was September 14, the Feast of the Exaltation of the Holy Cross.

3) Fell down a flight of 13 stairs. Woke up face down on asphalt. No feeling from my neck down. Thought I was paralyzed. I kept praying over and over again, "Lord have mercy." Then I said, "Please don't take me. I want to stay." Then I called out "HELP." That's when my son heard me and came with my husband. When my husband lifted my head up, sensation came back to my body. No broken bones. Nothing showed up in MRI or CT scans.

I have more, but I think this is enough for now. :giggle:

wow, amazing stories... you were clearly meant to be in this world..🤗

Hm. I'll try.

I have 16 to 20 Holy Angels of God around me at all times. I know their names, what they look like, sound like. They have healed me, touched me, saved me countless times.
They have been with me my whole life and I communicate with them through thought transference. (extremely specific)
I remember myself before I was born. I remember Heaven.
I am not religious. I am spiritual.
I do transcendental deep meditation.
The Maharishi walked into a huge audience once and gave only me, a long stemmed red rose. I was astonished! (Maybe he saw my angels)
I have two wonderful grown children.
I adore literature, philosophy and metaphysics.
I LOVE blue flowers and clean, cotton fresh sheets.
Sometimes, I HAVE TO sit by a stream or a river, all alone. (something for my soul)
I love rain and thunder.
I love early rock and roll! (Platters, Fleetwoods, Roy Orbison, Gene Pitney, Buddy Holly, Righteous Bros.)
I write songs and poetry.
My lifetime goal is to evolve my soul and expand my consciousness.
I love to sculpt for bronze.
I only read non-fiction.
As a child, I wrote backwards and read books backwards. (???) What does that mean?
I don't think I even possess a temper. If so, I'm awful slow to anger.
I used to teach dance.
I have felt many times, the most incredible, unexplainable, sustained blissfulness, beyond description! Beyond words!
I remember incidents from past lives. (especially my deaths)
I paint in varied styles; completely different styles! (Odd, even to me.) Love Art Nouveau!
I'm a widow, extremely alone and fine with that. Happy alone.
My nocturnal dreams are INCREDIBLE! (never had a nightmare)
I'm left handed. (Well, both hands, really.)
I think I'm courageous and adventurous. Not afraid to take chances.
