3 working days?????

Hi folks,
I must tell you this one, Anyone who reads the forum daily will know im waiting for a set of gates tobe delivered !!!

Well when i ordered them the company said the delivery will be in three working days!!!!!

Well yesterday was the 4th working day and no gates So ive just rang them and asked can you give me an idea when the gates will arrive (so im in)

"Thursday" was the reply,
Ok i replied,
Yes Thursday they said,
What happend to the three working days,????


"reply"
we only work every fourth day and for the three days after that "but we dont work saturday or sunday or bank holidays.

(Im going to find a dark room and lay down):confused:
 

Not A big deal, but what are the gates for?

The gates are for the gite and as the gite is in a very small hamlet (6 houses in all) and it has the only road that takes you to the main road 3 miles on and all lines with fields and a lake,
all transport passes the gite (not very much ref motor engine type) but the cow's and sheep are offten moved from field to field and this over the years has caused the old wooden gates to become "shall we say leaning thanks to the bulls sticking their heads over the gates to see whats on the other side,
The design of the gates we are going to change is a "V" shape double gated design and so very easy for the cow's /bull ect to lean between the "V" lower part of the gate with the heads just resting on the lower "V" part.

So we decided to change the gates for metal ones that will look nice and go with the old house look "we have ivy all over the walls and wisteria hanging across all the rear so it's important to get the right gates that'll look like they've always been part of the gite,
These new gates have an oval shaped design highest part 5feet 6 inch with inner railings so you can still see through but the bulls can't rest their heads on any part of the gates like they have been doing for years.

The funny thing is if i have the record player on the cow's all stop and listern they actualy line up and block the narrow road:rolleyes:
Its what you'd call amooosing moosic.
