4 deceased “friends” on Facebook

I'm glad you started this thread Jazzy! I've been wanting to honor the FB friends I've lost, which are too many! Some of them, however, were my friends before we all gravitated to Facebook, like fish out of water when Eons abruptly shut down. We formed close sisterly and brotherly bonds on Eons, 20 years ago. Eons was the first social networking site, that probably many of us had been on. @feywon can attest to the bonds that were formed and continued.

I'm hoping my friends and family are resting peacefully in Paradise. Sadly, my late husband, my co-wife, my beloved DIL and her twin, my first cousin, my husband's employee who was also a close family friend and my sister-in-law are among them. I certainly won't unfriend any of them and haven't unfriended any of the others. The main reasons are that we still post Happy Birthday in Heaven wishes on their pages and I don't want to feel like I'm "erasing" them from my life. I miss each and every one of them. 😢 💔

Besides those mentioned above I lost:
~"Virgoman"... we were on Eons, Boomerville and FB. My heart broke when I learned of his death, I couldn't sleep for 2 nights. We shared social consciousness and a love of music. His perspectives on social and political matters as a Black man were highly respected on BV.
~"Q"...she used to send me her beats to critique. They were rough at first and eventually got better. I could actually imagine the last one she sent me being featured in a film and I let her know that.
~Queenie...she found love on Eons, became a radio DJ and played my music on her show.

~Doug....we were classmates, reconnected on FB and he used to call me from time to time. I loved that he was in a happy marriage and shared pictures of them on their outings and vacations. He called me two days before he died, saying we're at an age that we have to keep up with each other. He posted on FB in the morning and by that afternoon he was dead!
~Cherry....she used to send me the most beautiful graphic comments. Sweet woman, gone too soon.
~Gwen....we were in the sisterhood on Eons. I was hoping to meet up with her when my husband and I went to South Carolina, but we weren't able to make that happen.

~Wendy....Coincidentally, we owned at the same timeshare in Atlantic City. She met me for brunch at the resort's restaurant. Another time she joined my sister and me for lunch at an oceanfront restaurant in Brigantine, N.J. I'm sorry I didn't take pictures of us together. She used to send me tons of emails with jokes and sometimes pictures of her grandchildren. She joined Senior Forums at my suggestion, but didn't stay.

~Mary... a fellow Muslim and I were always supportive of each other. Her sudden death shocked me. She lived in Egypt and died from food poisoning.

~Others were GP who was so funny, Rick (fellow musician), Andrea a fellow colorist, Dawn (also in the sisterhood) and Jeffrey with whom I had fun conversations about T.V. shows. This has gotten long so I'll post about others later.
