4 Idaho College Students Found Stabbed To Death-Suspect On The Run

This is starting to remind of the killing of the UK girl in Italy where the US girl was the convicted then retried found not guilty-Amanda Knox. That night in the apartment there were drugs and sex.

Have to wonder if someone realized who do it what with who someone lost it although to get away and not have even one of 4 people stop or slow the attack that is planning

I think more went on behind the scenes to free her than we are aware about. The Italians, like so many other foreign countries, including the U.S are open to corruption and can be bought. I followed that case fairly close back when it first began because I was in Italy at the time (2007), but only for a very short time. I never got to see her on any parts of any of the trials. I remember our Colonel telling some of us to just wait and see if she doesn't walk. When she was convicted, I was no longer in Italy, but I sent the Colonel a message telling him he was wrong. After she was set free, he sent me a message saying, "I told you so."

Suspect still at large. Looks like there was a party that night and 2 other roomates apparently survived or missed the attack. The murder weapon has not been found.

If a spontaneous rage attack one would figure the knife would've been dropped immediately or nearby. Other reports have it as an extremely bloody crime scene which means messy and greater chance of evidence being left. Also a picture of a person of interest has circulated on various sites with the person seemingly stalking the roomates at a food truck earlier.

I have to wonder if the FBI has been called in they might have evidence of serial killer?

@Teacher Terry Now the cops admit that there is danger because the reality is a killer is still on the loose, which should have been their position in the first place. My questions are these:
~How did the killer get in? Police said there was no sign of forced entry.
~Why had 8 hours passed before the murders were reported?
~How did the other two roommates escape being murdered?
~Did they see the killer? Police aren't sharing that info.
~Why didn't anyone hear anything? A young man said he lives 50 feet away but heard nothing.

I feel so sorry for the victims' families, friends and classmates. They were all beautiful young people and up to the end were having fun together. I saw on the news that one of the girls was home but went back to school to show her friend the new car she'd just gotten that day! How horrible and terribly tragic.

Yep, that about sums up my feelings.

You raise a number of good questions, the police probably know more than they are saying (or maybe not). Perhaps after an arrest is made more details will come out.

This one feels kind of close to home, the Idaho border is less than 20 miles north of here, however Moscow is at the far end of the state from us.

On one hand it seems they're holding back evidence to lure the suspect out on the other just yesterday they tell the local public to be alert, think safety etc.

I wonder if there were any similar murders with in the state or region-victims asleep, drugged and/or passed out even if a single victim. They say serial killers escalate.

Have very odd feelings about these murders..........that it was jealousy/feelings of being dissed by the victims.

Could be, if it is the case I suspect it won't take long to figure out who...
This was really up close & personal, stabbings always are. Also, the girls especially? Incredibly pretty. Were these dead kids "popular?" I'd guess so, probably were for most of their lives, used to it, confident. The boy was one of triplets, I believe. Beautiful kids, don't want to know too much, it's so sad.

Law enforcement's story seems to be a work in progress. First it's a targeted attack, then be safe predator still at large, back to targeted attack. Now a report a neighbors dog was killed in a sadistic fashion several weeks before which could indicate a predator in the process of looking for victims and/or hesitated on a potential victim.

And in a twist an ex or current boyfriend of one of the victims called 7 times with in hours of the killings but the victim's parents stand by the boyfriend.

Have to wonder if the police are simply trying to throw off the suspect but why because he's probably still in the area. A bloody scene like that has to leave evidence as does the dirt around the house ie foot prints etc. Also wonder if an accomplice.

Wasn't it the victims who called the male?....So confusing

Victims Kaylee Goncalves, 21, and Madison Mogen, 21, made "multiple" phone calls to a male subject just before they were stabbed to death while sleeping, but police have "cleared" the subject on the receiving end of those calls, Moscow Police Department Chief James Fry said during a Sunday press conference.

"We believe there's no connection there," Fry told reporters.

I think initial report had 10 calls to the same number. Probably was some back and forth. It is confusing at time hopefully on purpose by LE to throw suspect off.

I agree, the police seem to be confusing the issues with their daily press releases, but I believe this is intentional. Whatever the reason someone had for committing this awful crime, it's made a lot of people angry, and even more very, very sad.

Those emotions evoke many into action, so, there is pretty much a glaring clue out there and when folks begin thinking clearly, perhaps we'll have our perp.

One can only hope.

It was one of the girls calling her estranged boyfriend. Something they did often, still keeping in contact, on good terms, just taking a break. He has been cleared. In no way do they think he was involved.

The remaining 2 people that were in the home unharmed thought they're were still partying. May be the culprit turned on music so no one would hear the commotion. (just my thought)

I've been following this on another site.

Because I think it would be hard to stab four people without the last three fighting back and screaming the house down, I wonder if the killer drugged them all with something first.

One of the YouTube shows I listen to discussed this. It was stated one of two of the young women were seen on camera at a local food truck within hours before the crime. Someone was looking at them I believe? But it's certainly not unusual for young males to check out attractive females. I don't know if anything nefarious will turn up with that. If they upload that segment only, I can link it here. It was informative.
