Strong currents took Greek girl to open sea

In a feat worthy of Greek mythology, a heroic sea captain rescued a young girl who had been taken to treacherous waters by a unicorn. The 4-year-old was playing on an inflatable unicorn pool toy when a strong current took her away from the beach at the town of Antirio and toward the busy shipping lanes of the Gulf of Corinth, apparently while her parents were distracted, the Greek City Times reports.

There should have been a rope attached to the inflatable....held by one of the parents. I hope they were duly grateful to the captain and have learned a lesson.

The parents were distracted by everyone talking about some little kid way out there in the water.

The report that I read said that the little girl had drifted 1/2 mile out to sea.

IMO a serious investigation should be conducted before the child is returned to those people.
