Really terrific article. I really liked the following bit from the article:

======================================================================================
"Throughout this series, we watch these women age, undergoing life’s most humbling experience. While many of us can, when pressed, name things we are grateful to Time for bestowing upon us, the lines bracketing our mouths and the loosening of our skin are not among them. So while a part of the spirit sinks at the slow appearance of these women’s jowls, another part is lifted: They are not undone by it. We detect more sorrow, perhaps, in the eyes, more weight in the once-fresh brows. But the more we study the images, the more we see that aging does not define these women. Even as the images tell us, in no uncertain terms, that this is what it looks like to grow old, this is the irrefutable truth, we also learn: This is what endurance looks like."

Yeah that one is really old looking. She can't be much older now than say...63-4?

Younger probably. First pic was 1975 and look like late teens/early 20's? In 1975 I was 23 so they are younger than me, and I'm 63.

Oops, just saw Holly's post.

Amazing pictures - I saw these some time ago. Its interesting that the sisters all look so different from one another.

True, there is not a strong family resemblance. Well the aging thing isn't my favorite but since I've never been pretty, it's a lot easier this way.

We're the same in my family...all the girls look different to each other. People are always astonished that we're sisters..

I have 2 brothers and they don't look like each other ..although one of them is the image of my father..
