Social media giant accused of using its dominance to crush the competition

When it comes to taking on Facebook, bipartisanship is alive and well. Attorneys general from 46 states, along with Guam and Washington, DC, filed an antitrust against the social media giant Wednesday, accusing it of using its dominance to crush competition, NPR reports.

I've heard the same complaints about Amazon.

What really surprised me was to realize how many brands are controlled by just a few companies. For instance, Nestle owns close to 2,000 brands, including coffee, bottled water, milkshakes and other beverages, breakfast cereals, infant foods, performance and healthcare nutrition, seasonings, soups and sauces, frozen and refrigerated foods, and pet food. Brands like Purina, Fancy Feast and Alpo, Stouffer's and Lean Cuisine, Buitoni and Di Giorno, Gerber Baby Food, Boost, Cheerios, Poland Springs and Perrier...the list goes on and on.

I do not use FB, twitter ,etc. If everyone would just stop using it, there would be no need for the actions of the AGs . As such, who is really at 'fault' ? the media giants ? or the folks who continue to patronize them ?

Stay off of them, and they go the way of the buggy whip.........jmo
