Dave and I were married in our college chapel. Now when I say chapel, it held about 1,500 or more students, so our little wedding looked even smaller than it was. (We went to a little private school called Grove City College and chapel attendance was mandatory three days a week.)
We honeymooned in the Pocono mountains at a cheesy little resort. We took along a bottle of wine (expensive for us, but probably not really a fine wine at all) and never drank it. We did, however, manage to drop it in the parking lot of our apartment upon arriving at home.
We've had some major disagreements over the years, and somehow managed to not kill each other. But we've also always had each other's back. We have a wonderful, caring daughter and two smart, loving grandkids, one of whom is taller than his Nana and getting taller by the minute! And his sister is not far behind.
I hear so many sad tales of bad marriages. I am so happy we chose each other.
