I always tell my hubby that`s the reason I first went out with him-his `57 Chevy. Loved that car. Right before we got married he gave it to his sister and bought a `61 Impala. Nice car too,but nothing like that `57....

The Chevy are certainly more popular now, but I believe '57 was the last year Ford outsold Chevy.

The '57 Bel-Air 2 dr. hardtop is one of the premier classics. They originally sold for about $2700...and there have been some, fully restored, which have sold for $100K+ on the Mecum auctions. Bruce Springsteen's '57 sold for $350K.
