Has anyone else watched this fascinating segment on 60 Minutes? It was about a study of people who are over 90, to see what factors help people live longer lives and remain healthy and mentally alert. I loved the part where they discovered that vitamins and other supplements make no difference in later life, but good things are moderate use of alcohol (better than none!), caffeine, exercise, socializing, card games, dancing, romance, and NOT being too skinny!

Here are the links to watch online.

Thanks, Sunny, it does sound interesting, I'll watch it later, my grandmother lived to be 99 and my mom is 94 now.

Wut wo. I'm in trouble. I'm for sure too skinny. And I rarely drink. I do drink two cups of coffee every morning, though. Maybe that'll help.

I think 'intake' of whatever it may be makes little difference... this is from my own observation of people for many years. I am not talking drug abuse of any kind...legal or illegal... but I think much of longevity depends upon a person's state of mind, their attitude, and how content they are with life (although some of that was implied, I know) ... and of course, eating yogurt high up in the mountains of Russia... Remember all those 'studies' and statistics? :)
