70!

I turned 70 today, guess it's pretty much over now...

Social security starts this month, but I don't think I actually get the money until October. Got the notice that I was approved.

Did the big fishing trip as my birthday present to myself, had a great time. One day of grouper fishing in Florida, limited on gag grouper, the only ones open, then the offshore trip for a day in Louisiana, already posted a picture of that, and the 2 days of Louisiana redfishing, limited there too. A great trip.

Got my first, and only swordfish on the offshore trip. Swordfish for dinner tonight!

I went swordfishing with my uncles once, in the pacific. They had one but they cut it loose because it was too small. Looked huge to me, but I was only 4 or 5. I don't remember them getting another...I think I was too fascinated with the boat.

They have to be a minimum of 80 inches, not counting the bill, so you do have to release pretty big fish. Did not measure the one I caught, but it was well over the 80 inches.

The one in the middle, the guy to my right is a friend I have been fishing with since I was 6 years old. The guy to my left, the younger fellow is a more recent acquaintance.
