We have security bars on our doors and windows, pretty much had them installed for when we went out of town on vacations...secures the house nicely. I like them, I can open the doors and windows to let air in, and keep them open all night if I want, with no worries. Came in handy for me when my husband's work took him out of town now and then, and I was home alone. That, the dog, and a loaded gun helped me to sleep like a baby...still does.
