90 Year Old Woman Gets Her Wish Granted, Rides Horse for the First Time

Glad she enjoyed that ride. .. good for her.

Not something that appeals to me. . not a horse person here, all because of a bad experience as a 6 year old on a frisky pony.
Funny how things stay with you your entire life.
 

I'm like you Bonnie, had a scary introduction to horses as a young child on a pony ride, never been on one since. I've also witnesses horses who have been scared or thrown off their riders at the dog park, those experiences were intense. But I must say that I'm an animal lover, and horses are truly beautiful animals.
 
IMO, Not a good choice. Sometimes people get maimed/killed riding a horse. My first thought was "Superman" who
fell, was paralyzed for many months and then died.
 
Reeve was riding in in a steeplechase (open field racing with jumps & other challenges. ) event, known to be high risk, but something he loved. Quite different from sitting on a docile horse being led at a slow walk by a handler. Sorry some of you folks got scared by a horse.
