I'm very surprised to hear this.

99 Cents Only Stores to close all 371 spots in 'extremely difficult decision,' CEO says

It has been a great place to find certain kinds of bargains. No more KMart in my area, no more Sears, and we still have Big Lots but their inventory is hit-and-miss and their grocery prices are not much of a bargain.

Walmart will win all of the 99 Cents' business now.

I think they oversaturated the market with dollar stores. Within 3 miles from me, there are 8 dollar stores. They just opened a dollar store at the end of this little strip mall. Now, there's one of each end. Also, there's way too many pharmacies -8. Rite Aid, CVS, etc are all swirling around the drain, too.
