A 60 year old wins Miss Argentina will be oldest contestant in Miss Universe

A 60 year old lawyer from Argentina has won the right to represent her country in the Miss Universe pagent making her the oldest contestant. They just removed age limits over the last few years. A 47 woman from the Domincan Republic will be representing her country.

I can see why. My guess she's had surgery on face and dyes hair. The signs of aging seem to be in the body itself. She is not out of shape but not a toned athlete either.

not today, the one from today looks a bit similar, so no matter
what she really looks like, she is very beautiful and if she were
to win, it would be a boost for, we seniors, who people think
are past it, especially, past a beauty contest.

Funny, I was just thinking today about how 60 isn't what it used to be. I saw Taylor Dayne (from the 80's, Tell it to My Heart) on a recent talk show and she looked great. I think she's 62. Madonna is still out there performing on tours at 65. Both have had extensive plastic surgery, but at least they are still doing it. Years ago they would have been at home sitting in their recliner chairs!

I know. My partner is Filipino and they LOVE beauty pageants. Over the years, I've watched every pageant with him from Miss America to Miss Universe. It is well known that South American women who participate in pageants have plastic surgery. Miss Venezuela usually looks like a plastic doll.

So no, plastic surgery is almost a given in beauty pageants.
