A bit of overexposure?

This might be considered a bit harsh but any mom who knows their child has a serious nut allergy shouldn’t be in support of their child picking up candy from strangers.

There’s enough worry with cross contamination which is why there are warnings on certain food substances stating that there ‘may be traces of wheat , soy, dairy, nuts etc. This usually means that the same food machines have been cleaned between product switches but they cannot guarantee zero contamination.

Nobody with a serious nut allergy should be out trick or treating.

Years ago a neighbour and friend told me once that if he ever had a peanut that he would probably die and I pretty much laughed it off thinking he was exaggerating. One day he went into the same restaurant, ordered the same salad he always ordered and died within five minutes of taking a bite.

The dressing had been made of sesame oil and that day they ran out and used peanut oil as a substitute and didn’t mention it to any patrons.
It’s a haunting type of death that could have been prevented via education and consideration.
He was dearly loved and will forever be remembered.

R.I.P. that man. ❤️

A reason why Pennsylvania State Police carry "Epinephrine" in an EpiPen. I never used mine and I am thankful for that.

My brother, now 63, was extremely allergic to eggs when he was a kid. I remember him as a baby, having breathing problems. He made awful sounds. He was 3, when my parents taught him what "eggs" looked like in print. While he was too young to read, he could pick out 'eggs' in a list of ingredients. Today, he eats eggs without any effects. Happily, most childhood allergies disappear with age.
