A body modification fan dubbed 'the skull' and 'Satan' has revealed his latest transformation after deliberately scarring his own face.

Fernando Franco de Oliveira, from Brazil, has made headlines in the past for his unique look including a forked tongue, tattooed eye, mutilated ears and even vampire teeth.

He has more than 18 modifications in total and claims to have tattooed 99 per cent of his body.

Now, Fernando has revealed his latest modification – done using a soldering iron.

( I won't post the pictures, don't want to unnecessarily upset anyone but I'll post the link )..but this is him from behind...

The modification was allegedly made with a soldering iron down the right side of his face.

Now my point is.. that before all this ''care in the community''..people like this who cut off parts of their body.. would be given mental health intervention... yet here he is destroying himself piece by piece, and whose to say he won't look for his kicks in someone else in the future?
 

High pain threshold, obviously. There are some ethnic groups who use tattooing as part of their traditional culture. Some also (used to) practice cicatrisation (?) a a kind of ritual facial scarring in the form of lines of dots. I saw pics years ago in an old David Attenborough book. So, are they dangerously mentally ill too? The guy you mention is from Brazil. Different culture altogether 🤷‍♂️
 
Your last sentence is rather chilling to consider. I'm going to pass on the link. There has to be some kind of mental issue going on here. I've seen this on that TV show Botched with the plastic surgeons. People wanting to look like an alien, elf, or have boobs as big has garbage cans. They put them on the show for shock value but the surgeons decline them.

This isn't past tribal culture and traditions. There is something else going on here.

he's been featured in many newspaper articles for a long time.. but chopping his nose off is taking it to a whole other level...
 
Fernando is a little charmer. I'd love to see him meet the family of his intended. Ol' Fernado is an extreme case, but today, a tat isn't "MOM" on the right arm. It's a scene over the chest, back and arms. Nose rings, and piercings are not uncommon. My opinion is the human body can be quite beautiful, tats just trash it up. To me, one of the stupidest things is to adorn your body with what's important to you at 21. When you're 50/60, that's not you anymore, but you're stuck with it.

Definitely one sick nut case. I bet he is a wonderful husband and a fantastic father! ...... NOT!
