A Bunch Of New Laws In Illinois: Some Excellent, Some Nuts

I support the new law forbidding elephants in traveling circuses; I support veterinary care for service dogs injured in the line of duty. In fact, I can't believe that the latter hasn't always been legal, indeed required.. But look at some of the others they've passed.

Most of this is pretty good stuff, imho. Of course, we're the most broke state and it's pretty easy to pass the stuff listed in your link, but get a proper budget, fix taxes, figure out how not to default on the underfunded pension plans, or fix the Chicago schools ain't happenin'!

a waste of tax payer money on bad laws when so many good laws could be passed
that favor far more people. I have a good idea but I cannot get anyone to consider it.
