My late husband had a surgery 'large sized tumor' on the left side of his brain. His memory along with other related function improved. But, an MRI found 'lung cancer' which actually metastized to the brain.December and January have flown by with no contact with my cancer docs. Next Thursday I do have an appointment with the surgeon. Hopefully he will check for new tumors. Since he has told me there is no treatment other than major organ removal I don't expect any good news. I wish he could give me an estimate of how much time I have left.
Here's to hoping/praying it will be good news for you...Thanks for your kind support friends. I'm leaving for the doc appointment in a few minutes.
Yes!!!! This is great to hear!!!!My surgeon said he couldn't find any cancer on Thursday's visit. He didn't say I am cured and warned me that new tumors may show up.
His plan for me is regular checks (next one in four months). When new tumors show up he will "mow the lawn" meaning further surgery. No more chemical treatment for the time being.
It's good news. At least I should be around long enough to see my 81st birthday this year. Of course he told me this once before and then changed his mind but I'll thankfully looktake any offer of extra days
My sincere thanks for your support and prayers.
