My grandpa told me that he had a pet crow when he was a boy who could say a couple of words.

The crow lived in the barn and accompanied him to school every day, sometimes flying and sometimes on his shoulder.

It would hang around outside and be there when school let out to go home with him.

He said he had it for a couple of years and then it disappeared.

Birds are so intelligent. I had a cockatiel named Chichi. He used call the cat's name (Cleo) and if I was eating and left his cage open he would fly over and sit on my head. If I was eating spaghetti he would sit on the edge of the plate and eat it as well.
