My DIL grew up in a vegetarian household and has been a vegan since her early teens. She has a MS degree and I doubt if she knows how to cook bacon.

If you've never eaten bacon or watched someone cook it, you'd need to look at the directions. Making bacon well involves a learning curve. Even cooking ramen for the first time requires reading directions.

My point was that some people would benefit from directions on the side of a bacon package. Some 2 billion people on the planet follow religions that forbid the eating pork.
