Ned the Narrator steps in, reading an excerpt from "The Hitchhikers Guide to the Galaxy": The Planet Chaos Harvest Festival has a long, strange history in the local solar system with many weird happenings and odd people making appearances. It is generally agreed that the most odd, weird and colossally amazing of these was when an enchanted kazoo suddenly and spectacularly..........

... ...burst into song, summoned a squirrel army wearing glittery capes, and opened a spontaneous wormhole to the Department of Interpretive Dance in the Fifth Dimension. Local records indicate that five villagers were briefly turned into conga lines, three chickens learned jazz flute, and one unfortunate goat became the High Priest of Rhythm. Tragically, no one ever found the kazoo again ... except ...

for a retired truck driver from Chicago augmenting his pension by collecting empty bottles in an unremarkable segment of the Milky Way and who, upon spotting the abandoned kazoo was heard to remark "can't people be taught to properly recycle these horrid things?"

Suddenly Flatfoot cried out in sheer terror (as opposed to opaque terror which as everyone knows can result in terminal gollywobbles and fear of interpretive dance) "I'm blind! I can't see". "Nah, you ain't blind" said a gruff voice which seemed to be coming from the radio/waffle maker combination unit mounted in the dashboard of the big
Truck. "You just pulled your cap over your eyes".

D'OH ... and when he pulled his cap up from his eyes, the first thing he saw was a group photo of himself ... Flatfoot the hover-truck driver, Martin the space insurance salesman and Forest Lady ...

One day, while the Forest Lady was out exploring, she heard a small meowing sound coming from a nearby bush. She cautiously approached the bush and discovered a tiny kitten hiding inside. She quickly scooped up the little kitty and brought him home with her. She soon found that the little kitten, who she named Max, was a perfect companion for her. Wherever she went, he was right by her side. He was always up for a new adventure, and he even helped her find interesting things in the forest that she wouldn’t have found on her own.

OK, I guess I am most guilty of taking the story off track and not focused on FL. Sorry, I'll drop out.
Nope.Conversations evolve, so do story threads. Flatfoot remembered those photos ... We took the scenic route through Tangent Town and while away, the thread took a little walk, saw something shiny, and now we’re here celebrating Max the new kitty :)

beyond many trees in the forest, all of a sudden in clear view
appeared a gorgeous lake, the waters looked so soothing and
inviting~

swimming, some lake fun, much to do ;)

Everyone was welcome...

So Forest Lady and her new little kitten-companion jumped in to enjoy the refreshing water. Actually she was surprised that the kitten loved the water so much as he splashed around and was having a fun time...so cute. While they were in there, kitty's splashing woke up a mermaid! Now that was a suprise!
